Book review

Emotion in Motion

The poems in this book fits its title a lot as it will take on you in an amazing emotional journey that will sure touch your heart.

When Mathew announced in his blog that he published this book, I was excited and immediately added it to my Christmas wishlist. He, however, held a giveaway contest and I, being blessed with luck by book goddess, won! Yay! Early Christmas!

I receive the signed copy Sept 30 and couldn’t wait to read it.

I finished this book in one sitting. From what I know, Mathew has posted some of the poems in his blogs but it gives a completely different experience to hold the book in my hands and read it in printed paper.

This poem book easily made its way to my favorite shelf. I love all the poems but my most favorites are: I’ve loved You Many Times Before, A Reflection in Time and I love You Than You could Ever Know.

“Emotions in Motion – A Book of Poetry” is a roller coaster ride of human emotions through poetry which crosses into prose at times. The goal of writing these poems was to expose deep and true human emotion in its raw form, and not just the happy emotions. Some of these poems are based upon my life but many are works of fiction or slightly exaggerated reality, the truth is all in the emotion. May some of these poems bring you comfort in times of difficulty. May some remind you that you’re not alone, no matter how dark your life may be. May some bring you joy and give you the warmth of love when you’re feeling cold. May some bring you hope and may others just make you laugh.
