She’s like the wind. You can feel her. She will touch you. But like the wind, no one can keep her. She’s a free spirit who let no one get too close. But I always saw a melancholic shadow behind her bright smile. 

No one knows it, but she’s broken. Abuse and beaten, she now wore a mask of happiness that I fought hard to break. So imagine what I felt when she one day say, “In your arms, I feel at home. If you give your heart and ask me to stay-“

Overcome with happiness, I did not wait for her to finish. I took her hand and pressed it to my chest. “Keep my heart. Stay with me forever.”
